Bandana Tulachan is an illustrator and author based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Bandana likes getting lost and exploring the unknown: sometimes in streets and alleyways, sometimes between trees and mountains, but mostly in her imagination. She has worked on children’s books, comics and illustrated projects.
She completed her Bachelors in Fine Arts from Kathmandu University Center for Art and Design in Graphic Communication.Since then she has illustrated over 10 children’s books for various publications, and worked on a range of projects from creating mural arts to conducting creative workshops for children.
Bandana published her first authored picture book Sanu and the Big Storm in 2015, about a girl named Sanu who faces a terrible storm to look for her mother.
