Namaste, Hello!
This is Bandana from Kathmandu, Nepal. I am an illustrator, author, and designer working in children’s books, comics, illustrations, and print and publishing design. I have a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from Kathmandu University Center for Art and Design in Graphic Communication.
I love exploring materials and new techniques of creating art and I am eternally in a quest to discover myself through my works.
In 2016, my debut picture book Sanu and the Big Storm was published by Fineprint Books. I have also illustrated various titles for other authors and publishers.
In 2019, I co-founded Virangana Comics Collective as a platform for collaboration for illustrators and comics artists in Nepal, which published a comics anthology featuring eight nepali women artists.
Some other things I enjoy are travelling, food, scribbling in my journal, sewing my own clothes, and smelling like strawberries.
